Our Beekeeping Taster Day is for people who are considering taking up beekeeping but want more information. It gives a chance to handle bees, as well as providing guidance on costs, time commitments and benefits of beekeeping.

It is NOT a course that will teach you everything about honeybees and how to keep them. However it will be an informative and enjoyable day, and if you are contemplationg taking up the craft of beekeeping it may stop you from making some expensive mistakes.

Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided during the taster course but attendees should bring their own lunch.

If you would like to apply to take part in our Beekeeping Taster Day, please fill in the form on this page.

Note: If you have a disability, please mention this in your message to us, so we can discuss how we may best meet your needs.

The Taster Day will be held in Middlesbrough on Saturday 7 September from 1000 to 1600.

The precise timing and activity are dependent on the weather
