The Introduction to Beekeeping course will run on Saturday mornings in Middlesbrough Bowling club (TS5 5QL), for 8 weeks from 7 March to early May (excluding the Easter weekend).  Members of the course will also be allocated a tutor to lead you through the practical parts of the syllabus at their apiary, probably with another one or two participants from the conclusion of the Saturday morning sessions.

The cost of the course will be £115 which includes annual membership of CBKA (including membership of the BBKA) and a beekeeping book. There is also the opportunity to borrow a beesuit for the course (deposit of £30 payable).

Beekeeping Taster Day

Contemplating taking up the craft of beekeeping? It may prevent you from making some expensive mistakes. 

It is NOT a course that will teach you everything about honeybees and how to keep them. However it will be an informative and enjoyable day.

Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided during the taster course but attendees should bring their own lunch.
